A noble fish with white meat. Known as dorado, lemon fish, dolphinfish, parakeet or mahi-mahi. It is an oceanic and neritic epipelagic species of tropical and subtropical waters, appearing in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans. It is fished throughout the Peruvian coast, being its most intense capture time between spring and summer, when the specimens reach their largest size. It is fished with a hook or line.
